John Corradi, a retired United Airlines Boeing 777 Captain, was born in 1942, the same year as his Waco. He has logged well over 23,000 hours of flight time during a flying career spanning over 40 years. He has flown tail-draggers for over 25 years and has been flying his Waco in the Flying Circus since 1999. If you want a great ride in a biplane that is close by, we suggest you give John a call!

The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Washington Dulles International Airport is the companion facility to the Museum on the National Mall. The building opened in December, 2003, and provides enough space for the Smithsonian to display the thousands of aviation and space artifacts that cannot be exhibited on the National Mall. The two sites together showcase the largest collection of aviation and space artifacts in the world.

Vintage Aero Sports at Van Sant Airport, Erwinna, PA is in the heart of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. At Vintage Aero Sports you can travel back in time and experience the Golden Age of Flight. Experience the ride of a lifetime and "slip the surly bonds of earth" in one of our gliders or the Stearman. Come and spend the day at Van Sant Airport -- bring the family, bring a picnic and enjoy the festivities. Although out of the Washington DC Metro area, this is well-worth the drive!

Check out the video below.  You will probably notice that TEX is at the beginning of the video giving a ride in the Stearman.  Watch to the end and experience an aerobatic ride with Tex in the Stearman.

Just imagine yourself in the TEXAN now.....more engine and faster!

Welcome to Stallion 51, FAA certified and the world's premier P-51 Mustang flight operation. Come take a flight with us and take the controls of the legendary WWII P-51 Mustang! Stallion 51 is also home to CRAZY HORSE and CRAZY HORSE ², the dual-cockpit, dual-control TF-51 Mustangs. This is the “Cadillac” of all warbird training facilities. “Tex” received his initial T6 training and followed their course all the way through to getting his P51 type rating with the Stallion folks! Only for those “seriously addicted Warbird fanatics"!

The Experimental Aircraft Association's Fly-In Convention, now known as EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, has been in existence nearly as long as the association itself. The first gathering was in September 1953 as a small part of the Milwaukee (Wis.) Air Pageant. That original EAA fly-in at Wright-Curtiss (now Timmerman) Field was attended by a handful of airplanes, mostly homebuilt and modified aircraft. Fewer than 100 people registered as visitors. The larger Milwaukee Air Pageant has faded away but the EAA gathering has become one of the world's largest aviation events and the world's largest annual convention of any kind.

Old “77” as well as Gintac and Tex participated in the airshow Warbird flyovers. Gintac flew in the “70” formation in honor of the 70th anniversary of the T6’s first flight.  Since “Tex” earned his “wingman” qualification card at the Dubuque, IA formation clinic, he participated in the Friday Warbird Airshow.

Gintac is in "77" on the top of the 7, the 3rd plane in. He looks GREAT!
Warbird Spectacular, 8/1/08, Oshkosh,WI. Tex is in "77" which is the 4th plane from the left.
Don't just settle for watching the video below, FLY with TEXAN FLIGHT at OSH!!
Another happy rider! This is actually Tex's Uncle Dewey. This was his first flight in a Warbird and he loved it!

FDL Skyport offers a wide variety of services to our based and transient aviation friends. We are truly a full service FBO. You'll find our facilities impressive and our staff second to none. Next time you need to visit the Fox Valley, use the Fond du Lac County Airport. Looking for a home base for your aircraft? You won't find a better or friendlier home, with a large base of private aircraft like yours, an EAA chapter with it's own beautiful facility, and people that share your passion you'll love it here. This is where “77” provided rides. We hope to do this again next summer during the EAA Airventure week.
